I helped cut the driverside plexiglass side window.I was also in the stands when he rolled it onto its side. When he first ran it he used a small 430-ish BBC iirc?

I didnt get to see this car run that often. I think he ran thebig events (vs. the weekly eastside show) I always thought it was an awesome car to watch run.

He went from the final "Ricochet Rat" A/MP '69 Camaro which was originally I think at least an L78 396/375 car that had belonged to his cousin Gary?It may have been an L89,but of that I am not positive? As an A/MP he was running what appeared to be vintage Pro Stock looking 427-ish and I think ran on national record IHRA a few times which for class at the time I believe to be 9.75 in quarter. You are correct he seldom ran Eastside by that time, used it for test and tune mostly and when there was a big payout. The Monza didn't seem to last too long, seems to me he at least re skinned or replaced it completely with an '82-'86 Firebird?

I think that the late Bobby Hite is standing in front of the passenger side headlights of his?'62 Chevy 2dr sedan?I am also pretty sure that the blonde headed boy riding someone's shoulders is Bobby's son Chris Hite who was employed at McQuay in Verona back in the '90s when I was.

Isn t that Bobbys son to his left? Im not sure what his name was, I always heard him called "Stuff". I think he was driving the '62 the last few years I was going to eastside weekly. He was a good guy to talk racing and cars with, a lot like his dad.

Probably so,he was the one a bit older than Chris iirc? And then there was 'Barry' I think they called him?Maybe a bit older then I?He was in a bad marital situation and he and the other half did not survive it.I think he passed 10-15 years ago iirc?'Stuff' is the one to speak with, but my contact recently passed and I don't actually know him.If I make it Oct. 6th,if I see that '62 I'll go chat him up if I get a chance. If he could be persuaded he could probably provide valuable feedback from early '70s until this day?I don't think he is much less then 45-ish?
