Ya know, I think that might be Richard vs. Maurice behind the wheel. The torn sheet metal behind the left front tire and the hunched over driver positioning look an awful lot like the photo Don Smyle provided me for my blog entry about Richard's win at Harris Speedway in 1964. http://bench-racing.blogspot.com/2011/10/october-25-this-day-in-petty-history.html

Found this pic again today. A couple of years later, and I'm no longer convinced this is from Harris Speedway. One, car #72 didn't race at Harris. Two, the torn sheet metal doesn't match the look of Petty's winning car in Randy Gilbert's pics from Harris.Now I believe this is pic of Richard in the 1964 #41 Plymouth racing Doug Yates in the 1963 #72 Plymouth in the 1964 Capital City 300 at Richmond.Thoughts?

Chase, the rails don't look like Richmond - Yates ran just 1 lap in 1964 Capital City 300 - it was a night race
