This is definitely Darlington, you are correct. You are also correct there was no race there in November. November is when I could afford to get the pictures developed and the date of development was put on the pictures. That's just the way it was for me back then. I apologize for the confusion.

My older brother had a model of this car when I was a kid. I'm sure he still does. I was always jealous of it. Always thought this was Petty's best looking car.

i see where you're coming from. just want to keep the facts straight. a big part of restoring history is making sure the story is told as it really was. too many are liberal with the facts and i think this website would like to prevent that where possible. i don't think that was your intention. by the way, i saw both races at darlington in 1964 and richard was my favorite. he dominated both races only to have mechanical woes. your pics are awesome and bring back a lot of memories.
