That maybe a Neil Bonnett car but he never drove an Aero Coupe for Junior Johnson

Richard, you are absolutely CORRECT. This car IS an original car, from the JJ days, and it was BUILT and driven as the NON Aero car. It was RED with white lettering as well, when JJ owned it. It is a FACTORY sheet metal skinned car, and NOT a rolled and fabricated sheet metal car as some of the later Aero cars were. This car was CONVERTED to an A car before the present owner got it. Also when he had it resurrected , he had done the wrong color scheme. The owner is a friend of mine, here in our hometown, and as offered to sell me the car, but these are the reasons why I have passed.

Yeah, here's what I notice when I saw this photo. A)- it's an '86 body with an'84 paint scheme. B)-Incorrect number style. C)-Incorrect (too recent) letter font for the quarter-panel sponsor. Seems a real shame to have a real authentic car like this, then have the last 2 things you need done to the car to complete it done wrong. ( I could have this car looking right in no-time !! )

Like I said, the car is in my hometown. I have known the owner for years. HECK, I put plug wires on this car in Darlington, a few weeks ago...it would NOT run. But that did not fix it. A barn stale carb.. LSS... I had a chance to check the car over, THOROUGHLY. Since then, I talked to the person whom he bought the car from, who has a ROLLED bodied A coupe..as well. Back to THIS one. IT REALLY IS, a first generation SS Monte.. hung with original sheet metal, from the EARLY days, that has THAT history..PLEASE do NOT take away from the fact, this is a REAL JJ car, a RACED JJ car. Not a shopping center "ticket" seller.

I just wanna say something. You CANNOT put all the details that are written BELOW, in the caption of a photograph. I KNOW this car, and I KNOW, based on the SELLER, that sold this car to it's present owner, whom I know both VERY well. This IS, originally, a NON Aerocoupe car, that Neil drove, one of them anyway, that was ORIGINALLY red... with WHITE, all white lettering, from JJ.. When I titled this photo, I put NB, because HE drove this car.
