this is the wreck we had at Darlington 1960 with bobby johns. roy tyners car went further down the track into the grandstand wall, paul Mcduffie , joe sweatland and pops tailer were killed trying to get over the pit wall. several others were hurt by exploding concrete in the pits. Joe lee Johnson was making a pit stop but left quickly to avoid the oncoming cars. took a long time to get bobby johns out of this car. it was a dangerous job pitting at darlington on the race track.
