A QUESTION RAISED
I recently submitted a cool pic of Richard Petty and his Ford. Another member was curious where the photo was taken. I put forth to all the expert members of this fine site to help figure it out.View the pic on my member page, the one where he's wearing a gold firesuit, and see what we can come up with.
I don't think its Kingsport...if it is it would have to be sitting between turns 1 and 2....and that doesn't look familiar to me.
Billy Biscoe aka rusty racer may know and knowing him he can tell you where the gold race suit is.He was at Pettys along then.

Ok I've done a little research. What we know is it's Richard and David, and that it's 1969. If we presume that the cars are lined up on the track, and we presume that Petty and Pearson are on the same row, there are 4 possibilities-Maryville,TnThompson,CtMacon,GaBristol,TnI realize Thompson and Bristol are unlikely. So that would leave Maryville and Macon.
New info--Although the location is still a mystery, a member commented on the pic's page that this was not a race but a Ford test session.
