Billy & Barbara Scott
BILLY SCOTT WINS $10,000 AT NEW CONCORD SPEEDWAY IN THE 1980S'
From Billy Scott Collection
Guess Billy would classify this race his greatest, as he outran the greatest Late Model Sportsman Drivers in the Nation. He led 100 laps from start to finish in his Harold and Carrroll Bradley prepared and maintained car.
MAJOR BUCKS BACK THEN
I helepd Ervin Rigsbee back then we had the track record at concord for about 2 years i was just ateenager. Those days where a blast..
The few people that still go to Concord for a race, most of them have no idea it was ever dirt. Sometimes I wish Henry had'nt paved it. And I really liked the "wedge" cars, hard to believe they were only around for 5 or 6 years .
bet there was a time you never thought you would be running for much less winning that kind of money but it couldnt have happened to a nicer guy!
replacing the dirt in my opinion is the only thing that can get concord speedway back to its heyday no doubt the carolinas would really benefit from another half mile dirt track.
