Driver Killed In Metrolina Feature 1977 Page 2 Of 2
A horrible day at Metrolina Speedway in November 1977 as Preston Humphries was killed in a 15 car pile up. Preston, as was told by everyone, just before his death, would be moving to the Grand National Circuit. Yes, he was indeed that good in driving abilities. In racing circles today, his name is still mentioned when the subject is about great drivers who are no longer with us.
