Hi folks, hope everybody has had a great week!
I know one person who has had a good one, and he's the focus of a story by guest contributor Rick Minter this week over at
Georgia Racing History.com .
Last week, 1960 NASCAR Grand National (now Sprint Cup) champion and 2003 Georgia Racing Hall of Fame inductee Rex White was announced as an inductee for 2011 into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame at Talladega, Alabama. White, who remains involved in racing and in the preservation of the history of the sport, is a very deserving inductee, and we're all very proud of him here at GRH.com!
Rick Minter rode with Rex to Talladega for the official announcement, and shares with us a story on Rex's life and career. You can read all about it over at
Georgia Racing History.com .
Don't forget, the 22nd annual Jack Jackson Peach Bowl Reunion is coming up on January 30th at the American Legion in Austell. If you're a former Peach Bowl competitor, official, fan or just a fan of racing, come on out and take part in this great annual gathering! Cost to attend is $15. For more information, contact Susan Morgan at 770-942-6380, 404-530-7385 or via email at smorgan5@comcast.net.
Happy Birthday wishes go out this week on Jan. 25 to J.B. Day, Buddy Baker and Joel Davis.
Thanks everybody, have a great weekend!
