My previous blog, "Let The Arguing Begin", I mentioned several cars from my favorite era of NASCAR racing. Think back to your favorite era and tell me the car you liked best. A make, a paint scheme, whatever stuck in your memory as the best looking car you ever saw.Like most of you I have a few. One or two my suprise you, but we all have our favoite.1) Hoss Ellington's 1973 Yellow Pylon Chevelle,
#28. Beautiful.2) Petty 1974 STP Charger.3) Wood Bro's 1970 Purolator Montego.4) Glotzbach's 1970 Purple Dow Daytona.5) Cale's 1977 Blue Busch Monte Carlo.That's my top 5. What are yours?Bumpertag in S. Carolina

Way to go guys, thanks for the memories. Those are some beautiful cars and some I hadn't considered, like the white #11 Holly Farms Chevy. Not my favorite but it was a good looking car. I never cared for the Matador, it just didn't have good lines on it, the boby looked like it was designed by a school kid. I had forgotten about the Pearson Pontiac. I think he ran the purple and also a red version.I thought of another car that caught my eye. The 1975 Laguna #72 Kings Row of Benny Parsons. The white and gold gave the car a very clean look. Thanks Guys.
there were a lot of great paint schemes from that era for sure!! I'd have to say that the STP dodge w/ the blue wheels and the big STP on the hood... another is the #43 '71 gtx-roadrunner-satellite STP (the one in "the last american hero, hard driver"). My other faves were #12 coke chevy, Smoky Y's black and gold #13, and so far, nobody has mentioned Mario Rossi's winged #22 w/ Bobby Allison. That was the perfect paint scheme for that particular car. there's so many... I could go on for days, so I'll leave w/ this one David Pearson's Holman-Moody blu & gold #17 Torino Talledega
Great picks. I think the fastback Truxmore #90 torino was a good looking car myself. Like you said, there are so many.
I forgot about the Lorenzen #28. Also one of my favorites.
1973 Bobby Allison Coke Chevy Monte Carlo
Well geez, besides just about the entire fields from 68-70 ya mean? OK, how about Petty's STP Charger, Darrell's Bud Monte Carlo( or Neil's, if ya don't like Darrell), the Miller Buick that Bobby Allison won the championship with, the Coca-Cola Monte, the Cam2 Merc, Martin's Coors Light Ford, Rusty's MGD Pontiac, Davey's first Havoline T-Bird.
Hey Jim, I think you wanted to say the 1972 Coke Monte Carlo. I don't think I ever saw Bobby in a 1973 Monte Carlo with Coke. I remember him in a 1973 Chevelle, or Malibu, with Coke as the sponsor. That was his ride at the first race I went to.
