I will proudly take on the task of rolling the tires from here to the next generation. I believe this could be the begining of the next great promotion of this great site! "Rolling The Tires" I think I will even start a group called this. How about all of the great Legends of this sport come together to form a comitee to see who would be the next great Legend to carry on the task of "rolling the tire" Please respond to let me know what you think.? Good idea, or not? Thanks for your interest and input. Dale Dodge Jr.

I give you a thumbs up Dale! I have a problem with the latest bunch of NASCAR fans, they don't know the joy that I and a lot of others had before NASCAR went "BIG" they don't know any history, they wopuld not know it if it was in front of their face. I had a conversation with some "new age" NASCAR fans about the sport today. I told them i miss the old Grand national races at Beltsville as a well as the old LMS series, This was their response, Beltsville???? ther ewas no track at Beltsville and there was never a cup race in Maryland!! When I showed them documentation they did not know what to say, i told them they use to race 50 races a year give or take and to that one of them said 'just stupid short tracks" I gave him a look that would kill.I calmly told him, you will neverknow happiness with todays NASCAR , myself and others have seen and they are content, I also told them I was at the last cup race at Beltsville 5/16/70 Bobby Issac won followed by James Hylton and Bobby Allison, and they asked who are they????????????? You are going to have to rolla lot of tires to some of these know-it alls!

I give you a thumbs up too Dale.Paul and Robbie are so correct. Many fans have no idea of how NASCAR even came to be. Sad.
