Frank ran the One on One Drags at Langley Speedway, Hampton VA in 1980, a single lap heads up drag race program for the spectators between the Limited Sportsman and Late Model Sportsman shows, complete with standing start and eliminations, and was undefeated for a number of weeks. The only night I got off work to see it, he was beaten by a Corvette specially prepared for this event by the Beachcombers Corvette Club (one guys car with another guys trick motor and another guys race tires). Little did I know I would be able to eventually buy this Shelby.
