I even had a custom JT sweat shirt I had made that I wore to all the races. I drove my dad's '57 Chevy to school and was always eager to challenge anyone with my "BIG" 283. When we graduated, another friend, Albert, who knew nothing of racing, made the following inscription in my Senior Year 1966 Thomas Jefferson High School Year Book: "JT for you and me! Big 283." Albert's handwriting was as lousy as mine, but below is an copy of what he wrote above his photo in that 1966 yearbook:

That's cool Dave. I can remember seeing JT at Herman's garage one time, he seemed like a really nice guy.
