Weather Favorable for Inaugural Vintage Championship Series in Shelby, NC Saturday

Fantastic event! Thanks to everyone for all the hard work that made this event so successful!
I'm afraid I'm well aware of the entangling elements and the sad history of NWS . But, still, there's a glaring gap, dots that don't connect, in the marketer's play-book, to paraphrase would be something like...we've got to be in market XYZ, because that's the (blank) biggest TV market in America........here's the fly-in-the-oatmeal to such wisdom......if market XYZ is a major TV area, what difference does if actually make if the event that is being watched is in their backyard? They're (theoretically) watching it on TV, for gosh sakes!. Case in point: Auto Club Speedway. Maybe Auto Club's actually over-the-top, the S.Californians don't watch its racesorattend them in person.
Fans from as far away asCanada attended the recent Rockingham event. Geography and other factors notwithstanding, fans made it their mission to support the track. The old....build it and they will come philosophy in action. The heart-felt-affinity of some tracks will will circumvent (otherwise)normal factors. NWS and Rockingham both share this unique distinction.
The popular success of NASCAR's return to Rockingham Speedway is well documented, and well deserved. The story is much more about Andy Hillenberg than NASCAR, but NASCARdidallow this event to happen.............
There's another setting that will pay similar dividends, and for all the same reasons. In fact, it's just waiting, begging for the chance. I'm referring, of course, to North Wilkesboro Speedway. The various minor leagues won't do it either. Nope, the Rock proved that point. It takes the heavy-weights, NWS needs a Craftsman Truck Series event, it'd be another Rockingham feel-good-standing-room-only-type story.
A lot of healing could be accomplished by the duo of Rockingham andNorth Wilkesboro, but it won't ever happen, there's at least a million and one practical/financial reasons to brand this idea lunacy. And, there's the risk that continued old-school success would verify the validity of the traditional NASCAR fan, thus flying in the face of contemporary marketers, and there practical well-laid strategies.
However, auto racing, in all it's glory, has never made one lick of practical/financial sense.
The thing is, the definition ofracismwould have to preclude bias ineither direction. Decisions, positively or negatively, based on a person's race.......it's racism, by definition.
Y'all don't look at that, or listen to that mess.......... it's plumb un-healthy. Go to some other radio show. Please, Please you won't regret it!

Who's coat-tails swept Miss Bev into power four years ago?
In my home (Brunswick) county, unemployment is above 13%, one of the highest in N.C. In the past yearalone,Brunswick county (which both firms were considering ...its proximity to the state port at Wilmington, tax rates, climate, and other factors) has lost a Continental Tire Manufacturing factory to Sumter, SCanda Caterpillar (THE Caterpillar co.) to Athens, GA. Both manufacturers are now building brand-new facilities, and in the case of Caterpillar, this factory is being moved from Japan back to the United States...... it just won't be in North Carolina, because our leaders either don't know how the game is played, or there's another game going on. Either way, N.C.'s citizens loose.
Ya'll know how to tell if a politician is lying, don't ya? If they're talking! Yup, Bruton took the Rock's back stands to his 4-wide drag strip......the same one he threatened to moveCharlotte Motor Speedway over, if the city fathers did not cow-tow to him, which they did. The drag-race crowd probably would not go to the Rock anyway.
