Most of the ones that are on this site have driven and owned cars at one time or other and it makes no differance whether it was an old claimer car or cup car you still did not want to see it torn up. And after the checkers fall and someone purposely runs into your car whether you are the driver or owner it pisses you off. This is not the first time it has happened to RC but with the actions that he took it may very well be the last if the othert driver thinks he may suffer the same treatment as Kyle then it may make them think twice before they act. I have heard many a crew member say in a similar instance bring that so and so over here and we will see how he likes to be beat on after the race. I remember well this being said about ole DW after a race after wrecking a back marker in a race at Darlington but he was quickly escorted out of the track by crew members and a couple of deputy's to keep the rival team from getting a hold of him.With that being said what happened to the saying Let's have at it boy's ?

Will if you can get anywhere with them check the Nascar archieves you know that our ol buddy T-Taylor made some pictures of this car and they forced him to turn over his negitives to them a few years before his passing.

If I am not mistaking they ran a race at Darlington also. Seems like Tim Flock was telling a story about it onetime and this would have been sometime in the early to mid 50;s.

Lou is a hero to many crewman and crew chiefs from his era. He was not a yes sir man to anyone and spoke what he thought and as honestly as he could without giving trade secrets away. I have always admired him for what he brought to the sport. Even being a yankee was over looked by many..... LOL. A great guy that should be in the HOF someday.

Well in my humble opinion the V-8 engine since Darlington was devloped in the 40's and Daytona wasn't until 59 so it not fair to Smokey Yunick and Hubert Westmoreland not to nomanate the engine because it was brought to production then and still is being used today.
The most influential individual was no hands down Bill France Sr. With the help of many many others. Some which have been named above.

Great job Jerry and Tim you were right until the big buck sponsors got into it you were required to have a valid drivers license in the state which you reside in. Some that were going to lose their drivers license would then give an address in a neiboring state and get a license there and some had several licenses in different states. I had done the same thing for a couple of states and used the race tracks address as my mailing address. Most people could care less in those days. But it came in handy when they was pulling you over to give you a ticket and you handed them a Florida or Georgia license and NC never knew the difference. Just a thought.Maybe Kyle should have given them his Nevada license.
