The Cat in the Hat is loose again

Stock Car Racing History

Jack Roush is out and roaming the pits again after his little bump on the head a couple of weeks ago.
He will line up his troops and get them in order, but wait with him gone didnt his car win a race?? Sure did,and he want present either so maybe they can actually survive without Jack for a few days.
Glad to see him back because he is really a colorful person in Nascar and he has been known to say his thoughts out loud to Nascar . Lets see how the outcome plays in the next few weeks on the chase,he will voice that too.
What are your feelings over this spout your words of wit here for all to enjoy

The Old Girl Said Yes to Racers Reunion

Historic Speedways and Ghost Tracks

After the first meeting I saw that Jeff and Tim had fallen in love with an old girl I used to run around with.Tim only walked around looking at her in a look of amazement. But Jeff was grinning like he would like to take a ride with her but he actually had another duty at that time. You see this was the first time either of them had come face to face with her and even with her age showing I could see the desire in both of their faces.John Banks was also there and he had the look of a kid in a candy store, saying WOW look at this.Middle Georgia Raceway has sat in hiding for for over 30 years and now she will have a rebirth or maybe some will call it a facelift, but its neither. You see she will be brought back to the look she had in the 60's by the best crew possible, her fans and admirers. The challenge will not be easy but also it not be impossible with the guidance of Larry Smith. The show is to start immediately in transforming her into a famous raceplace again, want on board ?? no problem just show up when the time comes and dig right in. I will try to post the activity as I hear it and will look forward to seeing all of you great folks there. In fact the meeting will be on turn one ---------------------------see you there. any comments anyone???

Stock Car Racing History

While looking through the members that have come on board there was a familiar name. The name goes back to the good times in north Ga mainly Banks county. there you could run on the stickiest clay in the world. After a feature there it would still pull your shoes off, my wife found that out more than once. Ive had to carry her across more than one time. But the best part is the class of folks you got to race with, you could stack up two and three wide going into a turn and come out the same way, whether you were in a full body car or a skeeter. I was never deliberately spun out or pushed but you better keep the power on or you may watch the remainder from atop your ride.Im not naming people I met there because if I start I will leave someone out and feelings will be hurt, but I will name one guy, A character in his own way. Jerry Williams was one of the ones you always remembered, really.I lost track of him for a few years then out of the blue as usual he reappeared looking kinda like another colorful driver by the name of Buck Simmons. Actually it was a tribute car to Buck built by Jerry and actually driven by Jerry. He has taken off just like I remembered him from the good ole days, winning.and now here he is on Racers Reunion smiling as usual, so when you see that golden sedan with number 41 on it pull into the track a few just may move one position back in the finish order of the feature.I know Billy ran against him and a few more here so I see there will be more coming up and saying ---- HI JERRY----------------------memories

How Nascar should do a fair scheduling

General

Harvey, do you know what you are asking those clowns to do?? That would cause some thinking and planning. At the moment they are not in the planning mood but in the mood for money, more money.Brian is hungry,Bruton is greedy, the tracks are playing Russian Roulette and the drivers are playing the field. This leaves the audience setting outside waiting to see if and when their track will open for races next year. The grass roots tracks are being abused and misused for the supposedly enjoyment of other tracks fans. If this is so why did they build so much grandstands, oh wait for more money, but they arent filling the stands,Fontana looked like practice day in the stands and Pocono and Michigan were minus seat holders too. So now Atlanta is being taken advantage of and New hamphire is loosing one too.I could go on but you see they are not planning to utilize the grass roots where it all started but rather say they will survive and create new Fairgrounds or worse yet Pop festivals and Flea Market parking. My point and everyone should have one too if they a true fan, if not well, the next yard sale begins soon----------------------------------------memories
