You know this could scare off new and upcoming drivers and owners. The thought of Suit in racing at any level will shut down the lowest form of racing, from GoKarts on up..

You and I know well this will play havoc if allowed to run wild .

DO YOU REMEMBER HAVING TO AGREE TO THIS?

Current NASCAR

Now Im going back a few years so some of you may need to get a refresher course in this BUT when you went into the gate at a track, dont think it mattered what or where there was a sign hanging above the ticket booth stating that the track was NOT responsible for injuries or worse that were sustained while on the premises of said track.

Also when you pulled in to get your pitpass and get your car registered you signed a long form of same relieving track of responsibility while on track or surrounding land under the control of track management .

When a driver was hurt or worse drivers would go through the stands with helmet collecting donations for the family.

Back when flagmen were out on the track I have seen 3 different flagmen get run over and pass due to injuries in races I was in.

Also a driver who got spun out and tore his car up went after the other only to be hit by a third car. One time when my dad was running in SC a car went through the pits (back then cars were lined along the front stretch) in New Ellington SC and hit several people, dads bunch was involved.

One time we lined up on the figure 8 to go out and qualify and a car got out of control and actually chased down the flagman there. There was bad blood between the driver and flagman but no legal action came from it.

This case with Tony could really turn around racing if he is deemed at fault by the LAW. Think about it, no bumping or getting close or you may be sued for throwing dust their eyes. say you passed him or her on the inside and as you got clear you pulled up and they didnt like it, off to see Judge Judy.

Im not trying to start anything but it sure has me thinking here.. You Lawyers kinda toss this around and see how it tastes to you. That one Attorney on FoxSports has manslaughter embedded in his brain towards Tony. Does this type of talk need to be displayed so harsh? little future drivers and fans can be swayed easy enough as it is. Your comments are needed ...

Tony Stewart hits and kills driver at dirt track Saturday night

I slowed the video down almost frame for frame and it looks as though the guy grabbed the wing of tonys car and rode it a piece before he fell ....

If you have never strapped one of these wild weasels on to your behind do not think you can set behind your computer screen and say what did or did not happen .Words have a way of hurting for a long time

I have drove Sprint cars without wings and also those deadly missiles called Skeeters. Racecars are dangerous on a good day so I hope this has others who get Track Rage to think twice before you drop that net and unbuckle to get out before a track steward is there with caution under control..

I think Bill McPeek will attest to what I just wrote

First off you got to understand the attitude a Sprint car has under a caution or at reduced speed as in this scenario plays out. Going straight isnt their best line of tracking and touching the throttle allows the bull to dart which ever way it deems proper or which ever wheel gets traction over the others. The other wrong move is to get out of a Sprintcar and go charging into the oncoming pack.

The age old hindsight yes the car should have moved away from the pedestrian. The driver I think appeared in Tonys View just as he got to the stalled car and the maneuver the car took wasnt correct nor was the running toward a racecar under power. Its almost like a move in the heat of passion, was it good or bad ,who knows it happens so fast with no real planning.

Now I truly hope this doesnt haunt Tony and I sure hope the family and friends of Mr Ward do not hold any lasting grudges. In racing you accept the consequences of what happens on the track and hope all involved do the same.

In racing success is never on discount. Greatness on the track is never on sale. racing Greatness is never half off. Its all or nothing! Greatness in racing is never on discount.....

Someone tell me what they talking about here

Last week the crew chief on car 11,Darian Grubb, was suspended and fined $125 thousand in fines for something called a rear Firewall block off plate. Anyone know what this is? Can you fine someone for something you just made up? I assume this was just made up because I cant find it anywhere, UNLESS someone can show a photo of it. Any Takers?

The new Danica? Ex-IndyCar driver joining Nationwide Series

I think she is looking for that RIGHT ride. Second hand stuff is there for her but that wont go to the front. Maybe a good ride will materialize between now and the Snowball Derby.
