CONGRATULATIONS TONY AND STEWART/HAAS RACING

General

Dale and Andy made it more exciting to watch and to listen. They were doing their jobs and they did it well. Just as a writer writes about a race that we have seen and explains all aspects of it. That's their job.

Let's not put anyone down after such a great race.

Let us instead thank all involved from NASCAR all the way to the person in the ticket boothto the TV crewsand the radio guys for allowing us to be a witness to one of the closest and best of all Championship events in NASCAR.

Thanks EVERYBODY. Job well done.

CONGRATULATIONS TONY AND STEWART/HAAS RACING

General

Congratulations to Tony and to Carl. What a way to end the season. Tied in points with Tony coming out as the Champion for his 5 wins in the chase. And what a gentleman Carl is. You could tell by the look in his eyes that he was disappointed. Who wouldn't be? But he accepted like a gentleman and was one of the first to congratulate Tony. He didn't go storming off, throwing things, refusing to talk to the media like others that we know would have. Who finished 11th and 12th in the points? Good place for them. They won't even appear on stage at the awards banquet as they honor the top 10 in points.

Great season. Some great races. Great Champion. I'm sure the crowds will get better as the economy improves. We have to remember that these are hard times for many people and some things have to take a backseat to racing such as food and rent.

Congratulations again to Tony. He will be a great Champion..

Can't wait for Daytona.

Prediction for 2012? Carl. Tony or Brad.

WHEN A MISCONCEPTION IS A GREAT LOSS. NASCAR HALL OF FAME

Administrative

You got that right Michael. If not for Raymond and his money there might not be a NASCAR. He has never gotten the recognition that he so deserves. I will visit the HoF and hope to do it soon. I was introduced to the sport of NASCAR Racing when it was four (4) years old and I started driving when it was eight (8) years old so I grew up in NASCAR. It holds a place in my heart as well as my wife's as she grew up in it also. Her Father was an official in the early '50's plus a Grand National (now Cup) car owner.

I enjoyed your article very much Tim. It caused me to want to go just that much more. And for you and the rest to be in the company of Franceshad to be most enjoyable. She is oneFine Lady. I enjoy being around her as she is so proud of what Tim accomplished in racing.I am sure that her presence added greatly to your trip through the Hall.

Thanks for sharing it Tim.

Thanks for the Pit Crew video post

Will, Another way to tell if the moonshine is the real deal or not is by the color of the flame when you stick a match to a small amount of it. We used to pour a small amount into a metal bottle cap. Stick a match to it and if it burned a pretty blue flame then it was good stuff.

Thanks for the Pit Crew video post

Will. I raced against Cecil in the late '60's. We have remained friends since then. He and his brother used to come to our house sometime after the races before going back to Horseshoe, N C. Good guy. I talk to him once in awhile on the phone now.

He gave my wife and I the grand tour of Childress' shop when he was the shop foreman. I say the grand tour. We were not allowed in the engine room. That was off limits to everybody.

JUST TO SEE IF YOU REALLY CAN PICK

Current NASCAR

Don't you drive a FORD Jeff?

It's easy to say. Altogether F O R D. See how easy that was?

Carl all the way. He needs his first Championship this year. I like them both, but Carl just a little bit more.

Either Carl or Tony would be a good ambassador for the sport, but Carl will come out on top.

Jeff. It is not Tony. It is T no Y. It justlooks better that way for now.

Goooo CARL.

Hopefully Brad K. for next year. Great driver.

The Ford will be flying at Homestead Dave. First On Race Day= FORD.

Stenhouse Jr. for sure. If they had not pulled Reed out of the #32 it would be like the Cup race. Very exciting finish. Toss up for sure.

Carl will win the Cup Championship.

What a race it will be.

No one can say that NASCAR racing is not exciting. Going down to the wire.

GOING IT ALONE FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR

Current NASCAR

Seems like I have heard this song and dance routine before. I'm speaking of the video.

Joe. Where has KB progressed this year? Seems to me he has gotten worse. More dangerous actions than before.

Speeding 128 MPH--pushing a driverless car into the pit wall--turning another car into the wall at 150 MPH UNDER CAUTION and though not dangerous giving the NASCAR Official the middle finger while in the pits. Total disregard for anyone else.

Oh! Did you notice his little giggles uttered under his breath in the video?

Sorry to hear of your loss Will.

I'm sure that you can live with what I have to say.

I was only implying that a saying is just that, a saying.

For those that know me they will tell you that I do not keep anything to myself. Sometimes maybe I should.......but.
