GOING IT ALONE FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR
Current NASCAR
Hey Will. That's just a saying. Live with it.
Hey Will. That's just a saying. Live with it.
AMEN Tim. I also will never buy another Interstate battery.
I know thst JGR realizes that Kyle (bulldozer) is a good driver but they need to think of their future
with sponsors, fans, etc., etc..
It is time to can KB and get a responsible driver. He is bringing a great organization down.
Oh, I offended you with my opinion? You should hear what I'm keeping to myself.
I have to agree with Jeff and Tim on this one. It is dangerous to wreck anyone on any track, small or large. As the old saying goes, S--t happens. And it could be bad.
I can honestly say that I have never on purpose turned anyone. I have put the chrome horn to them on the straightaway but never tried to turn them.
Maybe that's the reason that I didn't win any more races than I did. But when my head hit the pillow at night I could go to sleep.
No reflection on you Johnny....you still my friend and old MGR buddy.
M & M's have two nut products now.
The candy coated p-nuts and Kyle Busch the plain nut.
Reese Cup for me Jimmy.
Everybody beat me to it. I agree. No way could these words ever be spoken or written by Kyle Busch.
He will always act like he did Friday with his careless, disrespectful, holier than thou attitude.
If you are running in front of him or pass him then lookout. As far as he is concerned "you have no business being there or doing that". "I will get by you one way or the other."
Until several others stuff him into the wall a fewtimes to show him that they will not put up with his I don'tcare attitude he will keep acting as he has in the past.
Have at it boy's. Sic 'em..................
You are correct Johnny. The trucks are alway exciting especially on the short tracks. Maybe Brian Vickers should have run in the truck race to get a little more practice. Then he could have added to his total of hits the starters stand and maybe a wrecker or even an ambulance. He hit everything else but those in the cup race.
Max Papis should have gotten the "Most Humorous" award after pulling alongside Tod Bodine, who was sitting backwards on the track, and gave him a big applause. He and Bodine had tangled earlier in the race.
This story also doesn't have to do with a graveyard. But it does involve Tiny Lund.
As told by the late Sam McQuagg. Sam said that he and Tiny were running flat out and there was no way that Sam could get by without dumping Tiny. So that's what he did. He hitTiny going into a corner and knocked him up the track and went on to win the race. WhenSam parked his car in the pits and before he could get outhe looked up and here came Tiny. When Tiny got to the car Sam said to Tiny, take your best punch because at some track in some race you will be bent over working on your engine and I will come up behind you with a ball pin hammer and crack your skull open. Tiny stopped. Grumbled a few &^%%*&% then turned around and left. Sam said that he never had another problem with Tiny after that.
It was best said on SPEED last night by Kyle Petty and Jeff Hammond. This issue would not even be discussed if it were not for the radio communication by drivers and their teams with the whole world listening in. This TEAM Racing has been going on since owners had more than one car in the race along with the manufacturer having a say so. So this is not a Johnny Come Lately issue.
In support of Trevor Bayne I can only say that this young man is only 20 years old. He won the Daytona 500 with the help of Jeff Gordon simply because no other Hendrick car needed his assistance. So Trevor I'm sure was thinking I'll run with Jeff because of our being able to run up front with maybe a chance to win as we did at Daytona. None of the Ford teams needed him as a drafting partner at that time. He could draft past Gordon on the last lap and win the race.
So then Matt Kenseth who has a chance at the Cup Title wound up without a drafting partner so Trevor did what he should do per team instructions, help your fellow Ford driver's.So he left Jeff G. for Matt. If Jimmy J. had needed help from Jeff G. then I'm sure the story would still be the same but with different drivers in different roles.
The only fault that I can find is Trevor saying without thinking (20 years old in the heat ofbattle) that he would run with Jeff to the end of the race.
I applaude him for his team loyalty and agree with his statement made on Twitter. I wish that racing didn't have to be this way and I hate that it is. But it is what it is.
So you go young man. FORD also.
I will admit that I am a FORD man. In my 21 years of racing I only raced one other brand and that was way back in 1957 when I drove a Willy's coupe with a Kiaser engine in it in the NASCAR Amateur Div. I got my first win in that car. The rest of the time it was FORD.
But I have to pull for a Dodge and Brad K. to win the Cup Title this year. Sorry about that Ford. I just like Brad's style. He is a racer.
