If it were not for waiting rooms at doctors and dentist officesI doubt Sports illustated would have anysubscribersat all
Tim Leeming said:My personal opinion of SI has always been very low. I may have bought a total of four of those magazines over all these years but after that episode they need not worry about me buying another. Trevor Bayne winning that race deserved cheering from every corner of the speedway. All those liberal blankety blanks can go to ................
Neil learned from the best having Bobby Allison as his mentor. He was like a fly around Bobby's head until Bobby finally gave in and let him work on the cars.
Neil was one of the greatbarnstormers who quickly earned the reputation of a hard charger.
Just imagine winning your first Winston Cup race by knocking off Richard Petty at one of Petty's best tracks at Richmond in 1977. Not to be undone he did RIchard again at Ontario to finish the 77 season.
Not only did Neil know who to push his foot through the floorboard he also knew how to pedal itwinning the World 600 two years in a row driving for two different teams.
Neil is one of the best ever who was able to live his dream.
Tevor's CUP points will not be an issue. Posted awards and points have none listed for Bayne.
It will be interesting to see what this kid does in the next few years.
Do you think since he's only run one race, he could switch the points? I could understand if he wanted to switch points in mid-season and wouldn't let him, but I think they could maybe get rid of Nationwide points and sign-up for cup. Don't You?
Richard Guido said:Congratulations to the Wood Brothers and Trevor. He ran up front all day. There were several dark horses that looked good in this event.
It will be interesting to see how this season plays out for Trevor since he is signed up for NNS points. One would think that a sponsor or two will take a good lookat this team after sunday's win.
We also need to see the 43 in victory lane ....
