KYLE BUSCH MAKES NASCAR HISTORY

Current NASCAR

We cannot take away from Kyle knocking the door down but there is no comparision of the Sportsman/GN Series to what is now a feeder series for Cup drivers. My Grand National memory stops right around the time Mark Martin was wearing out the series and even he did not run for the title. What used to be the Sportsman Series stood on it's own merit but Nascar's management technique or lack there of has allowed the division to be watered down to where I do not even care to watch a NNS race.Surely Kyle knows that he has not accomplished anything untill it is done on the CUP level and even that series is watered down.

NOW HOW IN THE HECK DO YOU LET THIS HAPPEN--------

Current NASCAR

Pete Banchoff said:
I just don't think Richard Childress is stupid enough to make this mistake after being told his car was close after Richmond. If this was intentional, he deserves the fine and penalty. But if this is a result of bumping and banging during and after the race...SHAME ON NASCAR. Heaven forbid a car wins a race that has mis-shaped bodywork for the next 9 races. The drivers might as well parade around the track so no one can touch them. Doesn't sound like much of a race to me.
Nascar has not been real racing for a long time

git rid of the chase

Current NASCAR

I have llok at it from both sides and putting the last ten races in perspective it makes sense to reward the winningest drivers. To me the flaw is that teams that are high in the standings can use races to test during the summer months. They are trying like hell to tightenn things up creating a title fight but it is what it is.

Pic of the Day

Stock Car Racing History

With everything looking or being the same in today's Nascar we can take a look back at Nascar's golden era. There is not a better place to do this than Racers Reunion.

Pictured below is a wonderful pitcure of racing at it's finest at Daytona. The sleek flowing lines of Petty's Dodge are complimented bythe crisp stylingof Buddy Baker's Ford.

As NASCAR matured the STOCK CAR became functional art with mouth watering refinement. The Muscle Carhas been defined in many ways but the reality is that the Muscle Car was born in Daytona Beach.

Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

General

Money talks and Bruton walks.A big part of what Nascar is missing are these knid of tracks. It is almost impossible to have a bad show !The Boys at the Beach are so blind about the core product that people are turning away. The shot callers at Richmond are very smart and saw it coming by building a new facility which is awsome but I must say that the Old Richmond Fairgrounds was a killer track that showcased hard nosed racing.

Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

General

Where is Fryin Brian or Brutus Smith on this one ?????The demographic of this is obvious. The Nashville area in general has a strong economy and good infrastructure. Rest assured they would bull doze the track asap and bye bye.Wilkesboro and Rockingham just sat there with little or no infrastructure or economy to speak of and they have survived. Either way France and his cronies or Bruton Smith will never step up with the funding to save this track. It is a damn shame.
