Nascar has not been real racing for a long timeI just don't think Richard Childress is stupid enough to make this mistake after being told his car was close after Richmond. If this was intentional, he deserves the fine and penalty. But if this is a result of bumping and banging during and after the race...SHAME ON NASCAR. Heaven forbid a car wins a race that has mis-shaped bodywork for the next 9 races. The drivers might as well parade around the track so no one can touch them. Doesn't sound like much of a race to me.
With everything looking or being the same in today's Nascar we can take a look back at Nascar's golden era. There is not a better place to do this than Racers Reunion.
Pictured below is a wonderful pitcure of racing at it's finest at Daytona. The sleek flowing lines of Petty's Dodge are complimented bythe crisp stylingof Buddy Baker's Ford.
As NASCAR matured the STOCK CAR became functional art with mouth watering refinement. The Muscle Carhas been defined in many ways but the reality is that the Muscle Car was born in Daytona Beach.
