Johnny, I believe this is in the 1991 Miller 200 Illinois clay championship. I'm pretty sure causeI see Bob Pohlmans car. Any idea how many cars,Looks like at least half the field...... Check the full stands.....
Good eye Dave, Yes they are goats. They are used much like the Grand Canyon pack mules. Each goat carries a case of Schaefer's on each side between the main house and the hammock pit where our esteemed sweat equity supervisor spends most of his day.....lol
Dave, Ihave two points to add to your report One is how can A new driver that has never won a cup race as far as I know, Afford a 66 acre 4.9 Million dollar Lake Norman Estate? David is not a bad driver and from what I hear he is a nice guy but his ave. finish is same as his stating position, 28th....Its a good thing David was the most recent listed owner as I can assure you Legend wouldn't have it IF Waltrip is on the deed......Second point, IF you decide to chip in so the Legend can buy this spread you can count on me for at least $11.75......lol
wow..... We all know they have done and will do worse in the future.. He sounds believable and IF he has all the med. evidence he says he has I hope he has deep pockets because they sure as h*** do......
a sad situation and I only hope we find out the truth someday but doubt if we ever will.
May he rest in peace. I had the pleasure and honor of meeting him in 2009 in the garage at Darlington. He had two vintage cars in the same area and we chatted over the course of a couple days. A friendly classy man and he will be missed by all who knew him.
What I don't understand Johnny is why was Brad running so hard among the leaders when he was 6 laps down... I know you're not supposed to ever give up but this didn't win him any friends for later on....
lol...now that's funny Eric, Good one.... I know its not me or Johnny because it looks like a new tire instead of a takeoff.ha!
Thank you Dave for this story. All of the racing fraternity lost a couple of good men.
thank you for a wonderful story, sad in some parts butalways positive and loving. There's nothing stronger than family ties..
