sad, that is the only word I can think of about this situation....
Dave, I actually enjoyed my years up "there" even tho in both places they said I talked funny because the racing was so good. I'm looking forward to hearing Buz tell me all about it.
Tim, I ordered it as a present for myself . I got on the web site page for the link and noticed it said free shipping for domestic orders but it charged me 5.95 for shipping. Should the head goat herder take care of my refund??? lol
well spoken Will. great points.....its a very competitive sport and whats wrong with a bit of intellectual modifying....Just my humble opinion but as long as the car was within weight requirments and weights were allowed.......
oh so nice to dream isn't it JM.....thanks . lol.....I'm in enough trouble around here now....
I heard the MC comedian really busted her chops several times. The best one I heard was when he referred to how close her table was to the front of the room and said " that's the closest she been all year to the front"...She will need to develop a sense of humor and learn how to take it when the quips start flying....
very interesting post Dave, My wife's grandfather, H.C.Butterfield worked for Studebaker in Michigan as an automotive Technician and traveled to the test site in South Bend many many times. He told me so many stories about the track from 1931 and 1946 when he moved from Detroit to Greenville, SC. to work for Baker Motors, a Dodge, Plymouth Dealer. He helped me from 1964 to 1965 when I was trying to build a 53 Studebaker Salt Flats car until I ran out of money and turned it into a street rod. Some where around here I have a bunch of photo's he left me of the many cars he tested at the track.
now that's funny... I don't care who you are, you have to like that one....kudo's Dave
Tim, please quit holding back. lol...come on, tell us what you really mean, inquiring minds want to know...
