The HOBBY in S.C. is growing with races at two tracks every month. LRP Modified Sportsmen have Sumter Speedway as their Home track. Bell&Bell Modified series have Carolina Speedway in Lake View S.C. as theirs.
Rules are the same so no problem with that. Car count is around 11 per show average with new cars being built.
THe Package for both clubs as far as tracks go is (2) FREE pit passes per car. Bell & Bell have a sponsor and tow money LRP Modified Sportsmen has a sponsor but NO tow money yet. Both clubs give trophies from their tracks for the winners in the Sportsmen and Modified Classes. You Know, First Sportsmen wins their class like the old days.
We both allow only Open Wheel or Bubble fender cars from the 1930's and 1940's. Frames must be 25 years old and the bodies steel. IF we ever get enough of the Fiberglass bodies then we will create a RETRO MODIFIED class so they have someplace to go play.
There are cars out there and I have contacts to get some of them.
To give you and idea I am selling off my exotic cars to buy another racecar since they are MORE FUN!!
So #12 Kenneth McGee is the fan Favorite, I will have to tell Bobby Courtwright in the #Z8 that one!!!Now you have a new one in the mix From UPSTATE New York and 2nd generation driver Pet Corey Jr. in his #3. His dad Pete Corey Sr. was the man to beat at Fonda New York and other tracks up in that area in the 1960's to the 1980's. See you at the races and bring some FRIENDS they will like what the see and hear.

Dear George,You have got a really great car,I saw it at New Smryna Speedway during Speedweeks 2009.I have got an old Howe on layaway and gonna come and run with you guy's and gal's.It's just taking longer than I thought but it will all come together in time.peace,out.
Please do Mike, we might be working with BELL & BELL more since they have an auto parts house connection in Bobby Williamson. All of my connections are Rolls Royce, Mercedes and BMW LOL. They do not sponsor modified series. But I have no problem with that AT ALL!!! They started this and I was just trying to SPREAD the word.
