I'm partial cause I was a Ford, Wood Brothers and Pearson fan, but I think that was the sharpest car that ever ran a nascar race. From the lines on the Mercury, to the paint job,in my opinion that car was the best looking car there ever was. Besides that, it had the best driver in Pearson and the best crew in the Wood boys too! Thanks for the picture!

One other thing, I read an article sometime back that the Mercury that was in the famious Pearson/Petty wreak in 76 at Daytona was brought back to the Wood Brothers shop and sat there for sometime. Someone purchased it for $500.00 bucks, fixed it and it is now in a museum out west. I looked up the museum one day on line and they have a pic of the car on their website. Its a shame the car isn't back down south where it belongs. If I would have gotten my hands on that car, I would have left it wreaked, boy wouldn't that have been something for the Hall of Fame to exhibit. Harlow have you heard anything about that story.
