The Historic Columbia Speedway will soon be up and running as an Events Center and the Historic Augusta International Raceway, which is being developed into Diamond Lakes Regional Park, continues to expand its Events Facilities. The brand new $800,000 Diamond Lakes Tennis Center was dedicated this AM with help from the Augusta International Raceway Preservation Society (AIRPS).This eight court tennis complex will be doubled in size over the next few years and it sits just across from the venue of the annual "Augusta Vintage Nationals". Dividing the Tennis Center and the Community Center is the former front straight away. It does not get much better than this.Great times for the old ladies of speed!
With out Henery none of this would be possible i hope one way or the outher he will keep an iron fist in this group he has done a great job
hey tim did i miss something in augusta ??
Leon, we are about to kick it up a notch after the 1st of the year. More on that at the meetings. Spent time with Harvey and Curtis yesterday at the Diamond Lakes Tennis Center grand opening. Everyone is on the same wave length.Think CSRA, think Racers Reunion and think additional members. There is too much going on at the old track to let all of this continue as in the past.
Sounds good Henery looking fourward
