Scott Wimmer was at Fred Mueller Automotive in Wausau,Wisconsin in January and he was there for an automotive career night. I got to talk to him, here is what I asked him. (This was before Casey Mears was announced to drive the 90 and Gilliland was announced to drive the 49 at Daytona)
Me: Where are you going next year?
Scott: I'm working on a high end ride for 2010, with a high profile sponsor
Me: BAM Racing?
Scott: No, Gilliland or Schrader are going to drive the 49, I can't tell anybody who it is.
Me: What about the new #90 or the #40 Nationwide team?
Scott: Haven't signed me back on yet and I'm kind of disapointed.
Me: I cried when you didn't race Dale Jr. and Tony Stewart harder in the 2004 Daytona 500. Could you have won the 500?
Scott: Possibly, if Stewart hadn't slammed into my ass on the final restart.
Me: What is Chris doing?
Scott: He'll be racing in South Africa.
Me: You drove the #31 Wolfpack Rentals Truck at Dover last year. What happened?
Scott: A Steering Arm broke and it took us out of the running for the win and it really ticked me off.
I talked to him for awhile longer but I can't remember what else I said.
Overall, it was a frickin' sweet experience meeting my hometown and racing hero!!
Hay sound`s like you had a cool night Scott Wimmer is a good driver
