Hello Group
Thanks Jackee for inviting me to this site. I am not computer savvy so it might take me some time to get dialed in on how to particpate. On April 5th of this year I officially retired. As most of you know, I started writing a book of my wild and crazy racing years. I went to visit a friend in Pureto Penasco, Mexico for one weekend. One thing lead to another and I wound up with a job running a resort for almost four years. I became so involved in that job I had to put my book on the back burner. After my last day at the resort I moved to San Carlos with with my sweetheart and am in the process of finishing my book. I am excited about this site as I am about the other groups and I know I can depend on many of y'all to help me remember some of the things this old mind seems to have forgotten. I am looking forward to chatting with some of my old frinds.Jim Nicoll
Steve Gibbs told me you were in Mexico so I figured you may have "met you match" down there. As a soft spoken Gringo with no opionions I thought you would cross someone. Guess we all simmer down in our old age. I often tell the story of the night you "ripped" my out of my rent a car in Rockingham and proceded to continue our prefected "rent a car burnout procedure" untill you blew the tire off the thing, As Kenny Hedman had already "blown" another off the rim, so we had to limp to a gas station the next morning and by a $3.00 used tire to finish the weekend. It was fun seeing you at Bakersfield a few years ago, my wife said, who is that guy, it is intereting. That may not be so good as she is a shrink. We are going to the Hot Rod Reunion in a couple of weeks, maybe you will show up. It would be worth the $ to get a rent a racer and let the east coast guys see what you are really made of, All they rembember is your Indy crash where you scared the crap our of the Snake ( and a few of us other by the way)Talk soonTom Curnow
