For all of the folks out there who have no idea what the Old Columbia Speedway looked like three years ago. Let me use the best words I have for it "A Jungle".
There has been a large group of people that have shown the old girl plenty of love in three years. The jungle is gone and the shaping up just gets better and better. I am not sure many folks undestand the will and commitment of their fellow man. Although nearly a hundred people have poured their souls into the old track. I have to offer a special thanks to a couple who are surely angels from God sent to help the old girl alongher way.
On Saturday in the rain and the cold Jeff C,Devin, Melanie, and Wayne worked alongside track owner Bobby Sellers until mother nature ran them off. She is looking great just in time for the 3rd annual Love Chevrolet Racers Reunion starting April 14th. This is the second weekend in a row that these folks have on their own time took care of HCS.
To say thank you to the folks would be belittling their efforts. Words cannot describe the magic that has occured because these wonderful selfless people came along and given beyond explanation. As a small part of the Speedway team, my sincerest gratitude goes out to these folks and the rest of the TSCM group. The love for this icon that you have shown is a testament to the quality of people we are blessed to share her with. Come see her in a few weeks, I think you may be pleasantly supprised. Thanks again for your overwhelming graciousness.
Thanks,
John Banks
