John,This photo was taken opening day at IRP, 9/11/60. The Pacemakers won Top Eliminator in their C/D. The car still has the No. 100 entry No. from the Detroit Nationals the week before, where they were class RU to Walt Markert. L to R are two unknowns, Herb Sebastian, driver Jim Neely (striped shirt), Wilbur "Robbie" Roberson (my dad) and Darryl Hobbs. Dad hand built the tube chassis and built the Chevy engine, 292 ci with Rochester fuel injection. The other photo shows Ralph Dees' roadster, which was runner up at the same event. The Cluster Busters did run the IRP drag strip in the early days, as they had run the races at Stout Field since 1955.Ron Roberson
