To a great friend...Peter Corey...Dreams do come true when you believe!

Vintage 1936 Chevy Coupe was a barn jewel that survived the scrapyard to be shined so that a lifetime dream could become reality and live again. Peter built that dream with courage, relentless determination and driven forces only the depths of his talented mind could only fanthom. "Never say Never" and "If you can dream it you can build it" was the strength this stockcar driver relied upon to restore this obsolete rusted piece of scrap metal into its former glory to become Peter's legacy. Fast, Safe and Straight-forward were the requirements this man demanded of himself to recreate the rebirth of this awesome Coupe. Nothing short of perfection demanded untold hours of pure heart and soul creating this dream so that we as race fans can take a glimpse into the past and only imagine what the future holds for this stockcr owner/driver. Having been blessed with a father whom also raced his dream in the early 60's upstate N.Y. I was intimately exposed with dirt track racing at a very young age so I truely understand firsthand the sacrifices one has to endur to overcome the elements and succeed, the first and foremost hurdle being the money factor, as we all know! But like my dad and others the believers work hard and find a way because it is what they do, live the dream! Family and friends of all great men will be there before and after the race as they are all winners, giving us a day of memories that last a lifetime. I have known Peter for only a short span of time but through my family I am well versed in his history, also of Peter's father Peter Corey Sr. whom is a documented and well known Legend in NYS. Regardless in this period of time I have nurtured a great respect for his dedication and the genuine oldtime values Peter reflects upon himself, like my Dad. a true gentleman on and off track! Whether in or out of the shop he is absolutely totally focused on whatever the task at hand. I have affectionately noted Peter to be "In the Zone" when he is materializing his ideas, no distractions for this man! He is a man of few words, not required or needed. Simply laying out the blueprints in his mind, whether it be motor, bodywork or paint it will be done right, the result is of one..to be the best to succeed in every facet of stockcar racing. The Corey name will live on with Peter at the helm of the next generation of legacy that has come to evolve. Those of you who have viewed Peters early days running dirt at Fonda Speedway, NYS in the early 80's have seen his ability to come into his own and those whom have personally followed him already know of his passion for racing and now know he has already started on his masterplan to succeed! The color of Peters 36 coupe is bold, the man who painstakenly ceated its rebirth in 2010 is indeed true to character; bold but humble enough to let it be fact it is all a learning process every day. Peter reflects on his work as a template for future endeavors on his behalf or simply helping others, and helping others is what this man does because it just is the kind of person he is. Peter speaks of the importance and the need to find creative ways to interactively involve children and younger adults with the spirit of stockcar racing, its history and the impact it reflects upon good family values. After all, this is where it all began and what stockcar racing is all about in the end..passing on our dreams unto the future is what legacys are made of. Believe in yourself and others will too!

Your Friend and Fan, Godspeed!
