How far we've come! I know it was 'state of the art', at the time, but that's a scary photo. What's even more scary: these cars ran at Daytona......Lee Petty ended his career, and nearly his life, the very next year (1961) sailing out of the park in a bench-seat car just like this one. The fuel cell was four years in the future, too. Brave men drove these stockcars....... Cool '40 sedan in the background!
