My guess is spring 1980. Here's my deductive reasoning:- can't be summer 1980 b/c Richard isn't wearing his neck brace from Pocono wreck- prominent display of Esmark emblem on Dale's shirt - seems that was more 80 vs 79- from the Earnhardt picture, I don't remember Dale Sr or RP wearing cowboy hats much in 79- in another one of Robert's pics from today, RP is sporting a Winston Cup belt buckle - guessing it was for his 79 championship- in Robert's pic of the Olds 442, there is decal in front of the rear tire - below the C post that I think was used in 80 vs. 79. Plus, I don't see a Southern Pride car wash decal that was on the car in 79.

Esmark bought STP in 1978 and sold it in 1984. 1990 is way too late a date for this shot.
