Rene' Charland referred to this crash as the "French Bar B Que". An aluminum gas tank was installed in the car the previous week. A minor crash became an inferno when the fuel tank ruptured. Charland had another firey crash after this one that he called the 'little fire'........he was not injured in either crash.
