It seems to me that JB and Petie and ultimately Petie owned that AMX?I never see anyone anymore. If I bump into Petie I'll ask him.

I could be wrong, but the last time I saw this car (AMX) a young guy had it driving it on the street with the lettering still on it. I think he may have been related to the Petie, but again, Im not sure. Last time I was in Waynesboro I rode down Commerce St. by his radiator shop, if its still his, still had his name on the window.

I have to add, it was '89 or '90 when I talked to the guy driving the AMX. So it's been awhile.

I think that too is what I understood, that the young guy is Petie II or as close as there may be?Rad. shop is still there I think? It has been 'relaxed' hours for a good while? If I can remember I'll ask someone I know that knows him well. The last of the AMX as a street car was the mid to late '90s I think?I haven't seen it since about that time.It was a real flashback for me to see it.I graduated with a boy that JB let hang out at his shop up behind the old city dump-prior to the gravel beds.He was all of 12 and everyday at kiddie collins jr, high, all that came out of Clyde's mouth was JB this and that,Short Snort this and that, and Lawman,Lawman,Lawman.Great memories for me,probably Clyde too?I'll ask of Petie and share somehow. Thanks for all the pics,I enjoy them all whether I recall anything of them or not.I surely recall the red track Ford pickup in those latest pics but not the Corvettes. The '62 Chevy in the background 2dr post looks like Bobby Hite's old car but I can't say for certain. In fact the guy standing in front of it favors a much younger Bobby.May he RIP.

I remember Clyde! He was always there when dad and I would go by there. He had big hair! I knew Bobby too, wasnt aware he had passed on, he wasa wealth of GM part numbers as well as a nice guy. His son was running the 62 for a while but I havent seen him in 20 some odd years.
