I was wondering if anyone was around for this and if there were any pictures of it? I would especially like to see how they refueled this car while still running and how they switched drivers too?

Here's the link to the article.

This is kind of confusing to me. You have a car company not known for high performance doing a "secret" test at Daytona with a production car averaging over 120 mph for over 3 days stopping only for driver changes, fuel and tires. In between pit stops the car was refueled by tube while running on the track. It was to test durability which was done anyway by the GM proving grounds (25000 miles and a teardown for inspection). On top of that, the Manufactures were not allowed to publicize the results because of a ban from the AMA. So why do it?? Buick knew the "secret" test would be picked up by somebody like the Detroit News. It let the world know these stock Buicks could haul it, too, like Chevrolet, Pontiac and Cadillac. Great job, Buick!!Pete
