Interesting observation that the 1957 Langhorne NASCAR convertible crowd of 10,000 was deemed "SPARSE" by the Philly writer as compared to the crowds, I guess for big Langhorne modified and sprint car/camp car races.

While Pete DePaolo Fords were running 1-2 at Langhorne on May 5, 1957, two more DePaolo Fords were finishing 1-2-3 at the Richmond hardtop GN race on the same date. Winner, Paul Goldsmith, 2nd place Richmond finisher Fireball Roberts and the 3rd place DePalo Ford driven by Marvin Panch drove 50 more miles than Curtis and Little Joe at Langhorne. Ionically, Richmond winner Goldsmith had won a 300 miler at Langhorne the previous season.
