Curtis Turner Tracks: Starkey Speedway
Starkey (VA) Speedway was a multi-purpose facility. The outer surface was 1/2 mile dirt, the inner 1/4 mile asphalt, which also included a figure 8 lay-out in its infield. Turner won on both surfaces. The 1/4 paved oval was site of a 1958 NASCAR Curtis Turner Convertible Series victory.
