Bird's-eye view of the 'Tarheel Speedway' actually looks impressive in this current photo. Looks like the former pit-area is plowed and ready for planting (which it may be). The track looks larger than a 1/4 miler, but old race tracks (apparently) make great locations for farm buildings and their associated paraphanalia.
