Trenton
The long-gone kidney shaped Trenton Speedway hosted the "Northern 500" in 1958.....an event won by Fireball Roberts who won Darlington's "Southern 500" later the same year. Roberts became the first driver to win two 500-mile races in a single season.
As a co-founder of the self-created Schaefer Beer Hall of Fame, I should note Trenton also hosted the Schaefer 300 in 1970 won by the King. Following one was taken by a Schaefer Ring of Honor friend of mine who went to the race as a young teen. He snapped this pic of Dale Inman standing by the winning Superbird.
