November 3, 1985 was my 12th wedding anniversary and the Wood Brothers crew made a sign on the windshield of their car cover before the start of the Atlanta Journal 500 to salute my wife back in Dallas, Texas. The tv cameras picked it up for me and Grand National Scene printed a photo. Kyle Petty crashed out on lap 267 at Atlanta International Raceway that day.
That was a pretty tacky way to solicit wasn't it?!

That is a very nice story Dave! Thanks for sharing that. I know Joyce was pleased as could be. Someone recently said you should write a book of your experiences, Cody, I think. I would sure buy a copy and ask you to autograph it. I love your stories. Happy (belated) Anniversary to you and Joyce.
Thanks, Tim. Joyce, too has often urged me to write a book, but the very best parts I can think of I would not want to repeat in my lifetime or the lifetime of some of the other guilty parties.
