4 Track Championships in One Year

Thanks to Jack Walker, I was able to secure (in print), confirmation of my Pop's Sportsman Late Model Championship at Myrtle Beach Speedway in 1976. I was talking to my brother (HB) this morning, he said that one year Pop held that title at 4 tracks. He said they were running different tracks that year from Thursday nights on through the weekend. HB said he believed the tracks Pop won that year were, Myrtle Beach, Leland, Fayetteville, and possibly Wilson. He said he remembers going to Myrtle Beach many times that year. According to the Myrtle Beach records, Pop won 4 out of 7 races run that year. Obviously, they were on a roll that year! I know he only won Myrtle Beach one year...so that leaves us to believe that would be the "Magic One". If there is anywhere or anyone who can help track down confirmation of the other tracks, it will be RacersReunion. I can hardly wait to go down to Myrtle Beach, and share you all with HB! So, with all that being said....if ya'll run across anything, I would be so appreciative if you would share it with me. Ya'll are the BEST!!! Thank you, Sandeep. I am very proud of him, and miss him deeply. Two year death anniversary in February, and it still hurts as if it were yesterday. But thanks to RacersReunion, I have been left in good hands with extremely knowledgeable, and loving people. Just as if, he had planned it himself.

Thank you also, JAck and Jason!! Your comments meant alot to me. My Pop (to me anyway) was one of a kind! On or off the track...didn't matter where. I have his personality, very passionate, loyal and charismatic...you either love me, or hate me..I would prefer the love though...LOL!! He drove for an unbelievable car owner that could build engines like NOBODY'S BUSINESS! If Jimmy Edwards, Sr. built it...IT WAS GONNA FLY!!! So you better have someone in that seat .... that knew how to "wheel it"!!! They came from far and wide...to get those motors....

Hopefully....a little closer to tracking these down....
