I was excited and hoped to find some of my old friends that I raced with in the early 50s.
I soon found that most of them were dead. I'm still "alive and kicking" at the age of 84 1/2.
I stopped racing in 56

I want to thank RacersReunion for helping me catch up on what happened in the 60s,70, and 80s.

Jim, I for one am very happy and grateful that youjoined RR. Thank you for your contributions to this site. I never saw you race but my Dad raced with you. You will never know how surprised I was when I watched the video you posted of you at Johnston County (Cat Tail Pond) and saw Dad in his '37 Ford straight back on the track with you along with several other great racers from that time. Thanks again for sharing a part of your life with your fellow racing fans.

I am so thankful of hearing your stories of eastern North Carolina racing and enjoyed hearing of your slot car racing business in Goldsboro.

In 2008 huh? Time slips by quickly these days for sure. Will be five years I've known you come August and what a wonderful experience it is to share time with you any time and place. Thanks for all your contributions.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Tim see how time flys when you are having so much fun... I too cannot believe we been here as long as it seems only yesterday when I found this site---its the Gilder Factor showing up I guess. I honor you Jim as a mentor to the young and young at heart. And to be able to call you a friend ! !
