It was announced today that my favorite up and coming driver, Chase Elliott will be driving all 33 races in the #9, sponsored by NAPA. (just for the record, I called that move in October, hehe) NAPA is a Georgia-Based company, as Chase is a Georgia driver. I hardly ever watch any of the races, let alone Nationwide, but every chance I get, I will turn it to the Nationwide race. Atleast he's not a cup regular riding around in the race. What I'm excited about is Daytona. It is dangerous, but he'll be racing with the best. One thing that I've pointed out to several friends today is that - Chase will bring NAPA more success than Micheal Waltrip could've ever dreamed of doing in his 12 year partnership!

Maybe now, I'll enjoy the NAPA commercials if Chase is singing "Napa Know How".

Can't wait for Daytona!

What goes around, comes around. First, Dale Sr, hired his old rival, DW to drive for DEI, now Dale, Sr.'s children have hired the son of old nemesis, Awesome Bill. Who'd have seen either of these moves 25-30 years ago!

I remember years ago and i think Chase was 4 years old and Bill had him in Atlanta, I was talking to Bill and He was called away to talk to his crew, Bill said to Chase, Stay right here with Mr Johnson.I remember chase being a polite yes sir, no sir person even at that age. His family upbringing is a good reason for his success. so i was not baby sitting, He was even then a perfect little man.

1,2,3 ...all together...Napa Know How, Napa Know How! Chase did a fine job once again, Cody!

Yes, Chase did an outstanding job last night. I could easily become a fan of Chase Elliott but please, please, please, no more of that off-harmony singing of "NAPA Know-How". Love the NAPA stores but stayed away while they sponsored that loser from Kentucky, but I did return to shopping the NAPA store near me once they dropped the Waltrip Wagon.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

Wow! Winning your first time at Darlington! OK you history buffs. How many have won their first race at Darlington since Johnny Mantz?

As I mentioned previously,...

Fast Forward....year 2016.

Your driver roster for that year will read,........

Dave Wager, although I hate to think it will take til 2016, when Chase takes over the #24, I hope "The Drive to End Hunger" will become "The Drive to End Waltrips".

Hey Tim,...

I don't know about the Waltrips or The Drive To End Hunger sponsorship, but I'm sure that NAPA is certainly not going toabandon young Elliot. What a shot in the arm he has been for them already. BTW, if JG decides to hang in there for a few more years, (and I hope he does) thenChase may be moving into the #5 in 2016. That will be about the time Kasey's contract with Hendrick comes up for renewal and frankly, that tree ain't growin any fruit.
