Hello all....working on a video for the NASCAR Hall of Fame induction ceremony and i am looking for some very early Lee Petty photos, specifically his first win at Heidelberg, Oct 49' or his second win at Hillsboro, Oct 1950. Also anything from Daytona 1954 and the 1954 season....Figured this group would be a great place to start.

How about this one RR's Tommy Clinard added a few days ago? A neat shot of Lee from 1953.

Don, I don't have anything that goes that far back but I do have one of Lee, Richard, and Maurice taken about 1957 or so. I got it from NASCAR back in the day when I, as a kid, wrote asking for pictures of Richard Petty and they sent me, free of charge and postage paid, three of four black and white 8X10s, one of which is the aforementioned pic. It is clearly marked on the back as copyright of NASCAR but as they no longer consider anything prior to 1980 as NASCAR, I'm not sure that still applies.

Oh, and thank you so much for your help on the pic of the 1966 Rebel Victory Lane. I'll let you know, but I think I have spotted myself.

Tim

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

The picture that I have posted on Racer's Reunion was given to my wife Marilynn by Frank Swain a long time NASCAR Official. As explained we did not know that my Father was in the picture until a couple of years ago. Marilynn was just a kid when this was given to her not long after this race was run. That was before I knew her. Her Father Bud Berry was also a NASCAR Official andflag manat Palm Beach Speedway. If you need to use the picture and need a copy email me at Maritom3@att.net.
