Bumper cars at Darlington, now they riding around together again and calling each other names??

I do believe this is a put on to drum up business for the greatest show under the Big Top.

This is a drawing card for them at thegoodie trailer where all their wares are sold and it also makes good print.

Betcha the stands will be full Sunday and more than usual for Saturdays race..

Are you shaking your head?? what do you think then -----------H U H

As Jeff Gilder is fond of quoting from NASCAR, "It is our circus and we choose the clowns". Problem now seems to be the entire organization is either attending Clown School (which is held in the South Carolina Legistlature from January to June each year) or they have already graduated with honors. In spite of what NASCAR puts in the press for public comsumption, you know very well that BZF has had to change his diapers 30 times since last Saturday night from excitement.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

I think back to the days when Cale & DW named each other "Jaws" and "No-Neck". And I remember Humpy Wheeler's publicity stunt at CMS as described in Wikipedia - After becoming the president of Charlotte Motor Speedway, Wheeler earned the reputation for organizing publicity stunts. A few weeks after driver Cale Yarborough gave the less-than-complimentary nickname 'Jaws' to rival driver Darrell Waltrip, Wheeler bought a giant dead shark, placed a dead chicken in the shark's mouth, and had it driven around the track on a flatbed truck before a race at Charlotte (Yarborough's sponsor at the time was Holly Farms Poultry). . I'm sure the tee shirt vendors would love to have these New boys call each other a couple of really good, colorful names.

Well the post race show from Darlington didn't help the ticket sells at Dover. I've seen larger crowds at Charlotte for qualifing. If tickets sells determines who gets a Cup date, then Dover should be worried.

Dover has nothing to be worried about. Those empty seats relate to empty pokets. Looked like a pretty goodrace regardless. I wanted to take my wife up there but we did not because of the expense.

I love the track and the races there, but soft ticket sales cost Darlington a date. There are empty pockets all over this country but this race at Dover had the fewest spectators I have ever seen at any Cup race.

During the last several years I have seen a large number of events with empty seats. When Bristol does not sell out your know something is up or rather down.

I wished they would have pulled around to the backstreach and either hopped out of their cars and "went at it" or used both cars for a demo derby. Enough of this mamby-pamby stuff. If these babies would just "man up". If youare going to fight, thenFIGHT!When Mark Martin and Jeff Burton retire, all that will be left are "children" driving these cars.

Russell, I think NASCAR is very happy with the level of aggression. There is enough there to generate excitement but for the most part, not enough to harm any driver and force their hand. Todays drivers can fight, but I'm pretty sure we would be disappointed with the spectical. I don't really want to see a "Silver Spoon Smackdown". There are better fights in the stands and parking lot at some races.

I still don't know how Dover keeps 2 races with so fewfans in the stands. Just my opinion.

Fine the drivers, put them on probation. Then use the altercation for a tv ad promoting nascar. Makes sence.
