Couldn't resist sharing this. Is it "political" if it refers to all of 'em?!

Going for non-partisan humor here.

Well, until we are booted off....

My favorite politician driving escapade remains that of Wilbur Mills, a brief 1972 Presidential candidate and Honorable Member of the United States House of Representatives representing a district in the home state of Mark Martin and Wal-Mart - Arkansas.

As chronicled on that great reference resource, Wikipedia:

Mills was involved in a traffic incident in Washington, DC at 2 a.m. on October 9, 1974. His car was stopped by U.S. Park Police late at night because the driver had not turned on the lights. Mills was intoxicated, and his face was injured from a scuffle with Annabelle Battistella, better known as Fanne Foxe , a stripper from Argentina. When police approached the car, Foxe leapt from the car and jumped into the nearby Tidal Basin in an attempt to escape.

Somewhere Darlington's U.S. Congressman John Jenrette surely deserves Honorable Mention for he and wife Rita's escapades on the steps of the U.S. Capitol which she parlayed into a Playboy Magazine spread!

Rita Jenrette and husband John who represented Darlington in the Congress of the US of A.

As we speak, the First Lady is making an appearance about a mile from the house. My son-in-law just called to ask if that were me holding the "I Love Michelle" sign as he passed at 5:00 pm.

Michelle Obama, James Taylor To Appear At Charlotte Fundraiser For Democratic National Convention

First lady Michelle Obama will be attending two Charlotte fundraisers on March 2 to help raise money for the 2012 Democratic National Convention here, according to a convention official.

In the afternoon, the first lady will attend a fundraising dinner with a performance by North Carolina-raised singer/songwriter James Taylor. Tickets for the event at the Ballantyne Hotel begin at $12,500 per couple and benefit the Committee for Charlotte 2012, the official name of the host committee tasked with raising $36.65 million for the convention.

I told my son-in-law it definitely was NOT me and that the last time I listened to James Taylor, he had hair!

The late Liz Taylor appeared with husband #uhh Senator John Warner at the 1977 World 600. I'm sure he used it as a campaign stop to pocket some Petty Cash.

That Charlotte visit by Ms. Taylor was the day I got the kiss on the cheek from her and got to talk to her and John Warner for 20 minutes. She was an angel. John Warner was a jerk. (Can I say that here under the ROE?) I was so impressed with Elizabeth Taylor.

What a change! It's been awhile since I've checked in and I'm quite surprised. It may take me awhile to figure it our but first look it's really great.

My wife got to have lunch with Liz and about ten others in her later years. Joyce was impressed because Liz chose a country cooking place she had heard about rather than one of the high dollar establishments.

Liz Taylor's appearance at the 600 wasn't her only NASCAR race to attend. Remember this video memory from Randy Hallman?
