It's fun reading all the posts by "young people" about being old.

My body is 81 years old, but my mind is still young.

Jim,I've heard the comment "I might be 80 but my mind is still 20" and in my opinion that's what keeps us going. I know I'll feel the same way as you do when I'm 81. You have my respect.

Jim, I had the great opportunity to spend some time with an 80 year old engine builder named Jack Conely. Jack built some of the quickest supermodified engines back in the day. He still works 6 days a week and I had a heck of a time keeping up with him. He says stay active and you'll stay young.Pete (the youngster from Michigan)

Like me and Tom Petty says, "you never slow down.....you never grow old." I plan on being a teenager forever. Just ask my dad.

Age is a relative thing for sure. I always feel old (51) when I talk to an adult race fan who never heard of Harry Gant, much less someone like Curtis Turner. At least I'm one to have read up on the history, so I can even bring the 20s into a conversation without actually living them. Shoot most of your Dale Jr fans today don't even know anything about Sr.

staying busy and meeting new people keeps me from remembering how old I am. I don't even think about it unless I don't have some kind of new project going on, and I'm meeting new people, and learning things.Racersreunion has snapped me out of old age once again. Most of the exciting things I've done this last year has had something to do with Jeff and this crowd. You young whippersnappers have made this old man feel like a young un again!
