Thanks to Jeff Gilder I was able to meet Mr Parks at his birthday party last year, and had my picture taken with him.He was a living legend since I was a small boy.What a loss to the world of stock car racing.

It's hard to just sit by and say you don't care because it's been mis used so much. Kind of like the Rock and Roll hall of fame.Some of the people who started it will never get in, and are all but forgotten except for the few who hold the sport so dear.Some will get in that should get an honorable mention, and some that should have already been in won't even get that.Yet another reason Racersreunion is so important.I think these days about the ones who lived it,and helped make it what it is today, and died with not much more than a nod, while watching some who followed them, learned from them, and even took credit for things they did, be slid into a place in history that they knew should have been theirs.

I think a lot of racing that has nothing to do with stock car racing should be consolidated, or dropped.I'm really into horse racing, and I know that some of you think that's a bad example, I was going to say analogy but I can't spell it, but I think some of the racing on here just doesn't have enough following to support the cost of keeping them.I know my biker friends aren't going to like this, and some others too.
Bet nobody enjoyed Saturday at Columbia Speedway reunion more than me

It would be hard for anyone else to have more fun than I did.It was great having my children and Grand children there to see how it's supposed to be done.Jeff Gilder knows how to organize and put on a festival.I don't think there's any doubt now about what it means to be associated with Racersreunion and Jeff gilder.
