If you missed the Midddle Ga. Raceway reunion shame on you. Man did we have a good time from the telling lies, I mean stories, to the candle light track walk to the day with the fans . This was a event to be remembered. The show was well run and was so much fun my wife even liked it. Thanks Jeff, Tommy , Bob and Larry for all your hard work. See ya soon.

I think this will be the beginning of a long relationship with the track and the great folks in Byron Ga.

I had a ball and met people I havent saw in 30+ years. The track brought back so many great memories of racing in the past. I do believe everyone that came left with a smile on their face. Plenty of show cars were on hand and more than enough Vintage Race Cars to hold a great race.

The cruise in was especially rewarding to the area because I dont think one has ever been held to that magnitude.

All the different car clubs and drivers put their differences aside and every one just had a ball. A real working Liquor Still was present along with another that was donated to R/R by a SC Midlands member who passed away last year, this is a treasure to behold.

Bobby Allison was on hand along with Rex White and a ton of Ga drivers from the past--and present.

We should all thank Tim Thornton and Jeff Gilder for their dedication but not to forget the guys and gals behind the scene. And Jeff Smith Chevrolet is the greatest Sponsor too,I hope Jeff Smith and Love Chevrolet will long live as our Sponsors.

I agree Jack. Well done Johnny. I too met many that I had not seen in years. There were many more drivers that showed up on Sat. and it was good seeing them again. I know that my grandson was in heaven when Bobby Allison posed with him and my son beside their racecar. I heard so many talking about what a great event and all asking the same question. Are there future plans to start racing again at MGR? When the race cars cranked their engines and the sound vibrated off the front stretch wall and the smellof racing fumes filled the airit caused many to have chills run up their spines and tears come to their eyes.....including mine. What a great time we had. Thanks to ALL that had anything to do with putting this event on. Hopefully this is one of many to come at MGR.

If I win the lottery it would be great to get the old track going again. With all the new building around the area I really belive you could get the local support needed to run big events. Great to see all fans come out for the show.I saw alot of friends from many years back and had a great time. Many thanks to all the hard work put in by all the volunters and sponsors.Even got to sign a few autographs. What a thrill to bring back all the great times.Hope to see all again soon. Sonny
